Most people remember the story of Michael Vick’s dog fighting ring that was dismantled by authorities in 2007.Vick served 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to operating the aptly named “Bad Newz Kennels,” which housed and trained over 50 pit bull dogs. Vick staged dog fights, killed dogs, and ran a high stakes gambling ring with purses up to $26,000.
What most people don’t know is what happened to those dogs afterwards. Many rescue groups stepped up to take in the dogs, including the Best Friends Animal Society, BAD RAP and many others. While many of the dogs from the fighting ring never saw life outside of that horrible life, there were others that were able to be adopted into loving families and move on from their former life. Find out where those dogs are now.
