1. Kim West
Downtown based artist Kim West uses multiple mediums including acrylic, spray paint and gold leaf to depict wildlife and nature in large, colorful forms. Her work can be seen all over downtown Los Angeles, including a mural of a lone polar bear on the side of the Hauser & Wirth building in the Arts District. This one in particular has become a local landmark. Her work is recognized by locals and creates a familiarity and sense of warmth for anyone who gets the opportunity to come across it.
