MV Dona Paz Disaster
On December 20th, 1987, the MV Doña Paz is a ship that collided with an oil tanker, called MT Vector, while en route from Leyte Island to Manila in the Philippines. Both ships burst into flames and within 4 hours, both ships had sunk. Those who were not caught in the explosion were forced to flee for their lives by jumping into the water. The only thing is that the Tablas Strait is infested with sharks. While many of the victims were burned to death, over 300 bodies were later recovered from the seas covered in shark bites.
