Thirty-year old honeymooner, Ian Redmond, was snorkeling just 20 yards from the shore at Anse Lazio beach in the Seychelles when a great white shark attacked him. Married just 10 days, his wife, who was sunbathing on the beach, witnessed the entire incident as Redmond had an arm and leg ripped off. After the attack, a vacationer in a small boat pulled Redmond ashore, where a doctor rushed to help him. Unfortunately, it was too late and Redmond bled to death on the beach. Even worse, the whole thing could’ve been avoided had he known that just two weeks prior, a young Frenchman was killed by a shark just a few-hundred yards from where Redmond was attacked.
