Back in 1974, Terry Manuel was diving off the cost of South Australia. Just as he was finishing up his afternoon dive and getting ready to head back into shore, a great white shark struck him out of nowhere. Manuel’s boat-mate, Talbot, recounts that the shark seemed it was coming at 25mph. As he was finished with his afternoon diving, a giant great white shark struck him at 25 MPH. Talbot was able to pull Manuel up onto the boat, but he was so badly bit that he bled to death before they could make it to a hospital.
